A SLAM Line (Scan, Label, Apply, Manifest) by Tension roller conveyor system with curved and straight sections is set up in a warehouse, surrounded by packages, pallets, shelves, and industrial equipment.

SLAM

SLAM (Scan Label Apply Manifest) is a scan label apply manifest system that can identify packages, capture their weights and dimensions, manifest the package with a preferred carrier, print and apply a label, and verify the readability and accuracy of the label. SLAM offers shipping cost savings, reduced labor needs, and higher throughput in the last 100 feet through automated parcel manifesting.

Modular Design for Customization and Growth

The SLAM Line is fully customizable and modular, allowing you to easily integrate it into your distribution center. It can be reconfigured or expanded as your warehouse automation needs evolve, supporting future growth and long-term fulfillment line automation.

Accurate Order Manifesting

The system’s manifesting scan ensures that the correct shipping label is applied to the matching package, guaranteeing accuracy before sending packages to the shipping dock. This shipping verification automation reduces errors and improves customer satisfaction.

TensionCONNECT Software Integration

Track and access packages in real time with TensionCONNECT, a proprietary software featuring an intuitive Human-Machine Interface (HMI), enabling smooth, efficient package flow throughout the SLAM line automation system.

Advanced Automated Labeling
The SLAM Line features automated label application, handling everything from traditional shipping cartons to bags, and offers custom label options for increased flexibility in parcel shipping automation operations.

Efficient Shipping Operations
The SLAM Line automates the weighing, dimensioning, labeling, and manifesting of packages, significantly expediting order processing and reducing staffing needs in your distribution center. This integrated shipping automation system supports high-volume fulfillment operations.

Carrier-Compliant Labeling
The system prints carrier-compliant shipping labels using package weight and dimensions, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations while supporting automated parcel manifesting and cost-effective rate shopping.

Real-Time Package Verification
Both the License Plate Number (LPN) and shipping label are scanned to confirm a match, ensuring customers receive the correct package. Mismatched packages are automatically diverted for special handling, improving shipping verification automation and operational accuracy.

Rate Shopping and DIM Capabilities
The SLAM Line measures package dimensions (DIM) and weighs packages for accurate rate shopping, helping you choose the most cost-effective shipping options.

Automated Error Handling
In the event of a label mismatch, the SLAM Line automatically diverts the package for manual review, ensuring smooth operation and error resolution without disrupting the workflow.

Labor and Cost Savings
By automating key tasks such as labeling, manifesting, dimensioning, and package verification, the SLAM Line reduces labor requirements, allowing you to reallocate staff resources and reduce operational costs.
